On Wednesday night, Coco Jones delivered a stunning performance of her single “ICU” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Dressed in a decorative cream gown with a thigh split, the rising singer gave a sweet and vulnerable performance that captivated the studio audience and at-home viewers.
This wasn’t the first time the Camper-produced track was performed on television, as she recently sang it on The Jennifer Hudson Show, BET Amplified stage and for Genius’ Open Mic series. The commitment to the song has paid off, as it recently debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 88, making it Jones’ first entry on the popular singles chart.
Jones celebrated the achievement in a social media post, thanking everyone who has supported her throughout her journey. “If y’all been rockin with me from day 1 you know all the highs and lows I’ve been through to get to this point. Trust when I say this is just the beginning! Thankyou to everyone who’s been supporting me, let’s keep running it up!” she wrote.
The track “ICU” is among Jones’ trending songs on Spotify, with over 11 million streams at the time of publication. It is featured on both the standard and deluxe version of her debut EP, What I Didn’t Tell You, which was released in October 2022 under High Standardz/Def Jam Recordings.
The deluxe edition, released earlier this year, includes four additional tracks, including her collaboration with Babyface titled “Simple.” Jones hopes that the EP showcases her real-life experiences to her fans and emphasizes that she is just like them.
In addition to her television appearances, Jones has several upcoming festival performances, including the Sol Blume festival in Sacramento, California, Mary J. Blige’s Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit in Atlanta, Georgia, Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Broccoli City in Washington, D.C.
