Grammy-winning singer Daniel Caesar has dropped a new song called “Valentina” just a week before the release of his third album, “Never Enough.” The track was co-produced by Caesar’s younger brother Zachary Simmonds and Dylan Wiggins. In his signature smooth voice, Caesar croons, “I know it’s late, and I know you got a man, please understand, baby, he won’t love you like I do.” “Valentina” follows Caesar’s performance of his latest single “Let Me Go” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The forthcoming album, set to be released on April 7 via Republic Records, also features the lead single “Do You Like Me?” and marks Caesar’s first major-label release. Ahead of a large-scale tour, Caesar will embark on a brief run called Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions Tour starting on April 6 in Los Angeles and concluding on April 22 in Berlin, Germany.
Daniel Caesar has been busy promoting his upcoming third album, Never Enough, which is set to release on April 7 via Republic Records. The album is his first under a major label and follows his previous independent releases, Freudian and CASE STUDY 01.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Caesar shared his reasons for signing with Republic Records, stating that he wanted to separate the artistry and business aspects of his career and experience the support of a major label.
To build excitement for Never Enough, Caesar has released several singles, including the lead single “Do You Like Me?” and the sophomore single “Let Me Go.” The latest addition to the album is “Valentina,” a smooth and suave track that showcases Caesar’s signature style.
“Valentina” was co-produced by Caesar’s younger brother, Zachary Simmonds, and Dylan Wiggins. In the song, Caesar sings of a late-night encounter with a woman who has a boyfriend. He suggests that he can love her better and asks her to understand that her boyfriend can’t offer what he can.
This new release comes on the heels of Caesar’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he debuted “Let Me Go.” Before embarking on a large-scale tour, Caesar will be playing several intimate shows as part of the Almost Enough: The Intimate Sessions Tour, which will take him from Los Angeles, California to Berlin, Germany.
